Leeds United boss made a huge decision this weekend that lead to a big result.
The Whites returned from the international break in style, with a thrilling win over Swansea City. Daniel Farke had no problems this time around as his players returned from the break early. During the last international break, Leeds still had players in action just 72 hours before the next league game. All the players came back with a clean bill of health before the weekend. Largie Ramazani was also fit enough to be named in the matchday squad.
Farke made one key change ahead of Sunday’s game; he started Spurs loanee Manor Solomon. The forward had been out of form for a while after his bright start to the campaign. Solomon provided an assist in his first game and was even voted Player of the Match.

Solomon was in fine form as he scored a brace in Leeds’ 4-3 win at the Swansea stadium. Harry Darling scored the opener for the Swans just eight minutes into the game. Manor Solomon equalized with his first goal of the season just 12 minutes later. Liam Cullen gave Swansea the lead before halftime, but and own goal from Ben Cabango levelled the scores. Solomon completed his brace in the 73rd minute, and Florian Bianchini came off the bench to score what Swansea thought was the equalizer. Wilfried Gnonto calmly slotted home from a Dan James through ball to seal all three points.
The away fans made themselves heard in the Swansea stadium. After the game, BBC Radio presenter Jonathan Buchan revealed that a Leeds fan called in the radio show to demand that Daniel Farke be sacked:
“Getting a call stating the manager should be sacked… after a 4-3 win to go top of the table.
“17 Years in broadcasting – first time for everything I suppose.”
After the game, some fans singled out two performers from the match. Leeds now sit top of the Championship with 32 points, tied with Sheffield United and Sunderland, who both dropped points on Saturday.
Should the Leeds boss be sacked?
Asking for Daniel Farke to be sacked after one of the best wins of the season is absolutely ludicrous. Leeds are only the second team to beat Swansea at their home. The club is now joint-top of the table and are firmly in place to challenge for an automatic qualification place. Farke beat the odds last season, and he can surely do it this year.
