Daniel Farke says Glen Kamara’s quality is obvious

Leeds United coach Daniel Farke says he’s not surprised at how well Glen Kamara has fit into the team.

The Finland International was impressive in the win over Huddersfield Town last week, providing a calm head in midfield alongside Ethan Ampadu.

The 27-year year old has only started a few games under Farke, but every time he has played he has showed his quality. Former Leeds man Ross McCormack was in awe of Kamara last week.

Daniel Farke believes that looking at the Finland International’s experience, nobody should have been surprised at how good he is:

“I think in general we have a really young squad when you look at our average age in the squad. Glen, we don’t have to speak about his CV he’s played for Rangers where they have to win every week.”

Farke also explained that its due to fitness issues that have limited the midfielder’s starts in the team this season:

“It was difficult for him in the start because he didn’t have a pre-season and wasn’t involved that much in the second-half of last season. There’s still more to come and he needs more time. He’s still needs to sharpen up a bit in a physical way due to his lack of game time but the more he plays the better his endurance will be. He’s a top team-mate and lad. He’s a great guy to have around”

The Whites face Leicester City on Friday in a top of the table clash; the Foxes lead the Championship while Leeds sit in third place.
