Daniel Farke set to make huge call for lineup vs Wolves

Leeds United will be hoping they can get their campaign on track after the Fulham result. The loss in London has lead to a lot of noise within the Whites’ fanbase in the past few days.

That is because the Whites are winless since the Everton game at the start of the season. Leeds could have added to the four points last Saturday, but a freak own goal from Gabriel Gudmundsson denied them a point.

Now Daniel Farke’s men have a real chance of a result on Saturday when they face Vitor Pereira’s side.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are without a single point in the Premier League, and Leeds fans will be desperate to see their side get a positive result. However, the Whites could be missing some key players for Saturday’s game. Daniel Farke said Dan James and Wilfried Gnonto are two major doubts.

”We have a few doubts. Daniel James is a major doubt, still struggling with a hit in a core muscle.

”Also Willy Gnonto is struggling with calf problems, missed a few training sessions.

”Will have to make a late call so major doubt. Everyone else is in a good place.”

Without James and Gnonto, there are limited options to take their place in the lineup.

What both Harrison and Aaronson provide in attack

Looking at the options in the Leeds squad, it is very likely that Brenden Aaronson or Jack Harrison will fill in on one flank, while Noah Okafor keeps his place in the lineup from Fulham. Daniel Farke has already discussed the unique abilities these two players bring to the role. Harrison gives more direct option who gets the ball in good positions.

”Good player, I like him, working hard which is why he’s been on the pitch nearly every game.

”If he continues with hard work, has every chance to be in the starting line-up. Always in my mind and always a good option.

”Especially as in offensive positions, it’s not like we’ve produced a lot.”

Brenden Aaronson on the other hand, is a more defensive selection. Him starting last week was to offer protection down the flank:

”I didn’t expect Brenden to cut Fulham apart on his own, Fulham had an aggressive left side and I wanted a player to support our right-back.

”Credit to Brenden, Sessegnon was not effective and Iwobi was substituted. We know he has challenges with decision-making, being a bit clearer.”
