Leeds United continue to push for Premier League promotion as they establish themselves at the top of the Championship.
Daniel Farke has done an amazing job with the team this season. After reportedly missing out on multiple first choice targets in the summer, the German coach has managed to find solutions within the squad. Brenden Aaronson who was out of favour and almost left the club, is now a key cog in the system with four goals this season.
Farke also pushed to get Ao Tanaka, who has been a revelation so far. The Japanese international stepped in to replace the injured duo of Ethan Ampadu and Illia Gruev and has looked like a natural.
Leeds are now top of the Championship after beating Swansea City in their first game after the international break.

Swansea scored an own goal, Manor Solomon scored a brace, and Wilfried Gnonto scored a late winner at the Swansea stadium. Daniel Farke said the win was a ‘great feeling’ for the players and the fans:
“It feels great [to be top], especially after such a game. It’s an advertisement for this league – I think Sky Sports will be pretty happy and also we are happy after a massive win.
“I didn’t see that coming. I expected a tight game, never a 4-3 because it’s so difficult to score goals against Swansea.
“But it was an excellent game for the supporters and for the neutrals as well. I think in the end we deserved to win because we won more or less every statistic.”
However some Leeds United fans have voiced their displeasure with some of the first team players in the game. Goalkeeper Illan Meslier and defender Jayden Bogle have been singled out as the reasons why Swansea were able to put three goals past one of the best defenses in the Championship.
Illan Meslier conceded three goals from five shots on target, and only completed two of his 11 long passes attempted. Bogle was also particularly poor; according to SofaScore, the right back lost the ball 19 times and failed to complete a cross or create a chance.
Should Meslier and Bogle be dropped?
The game against Swansea was a very frantic game with end to end action. Not a lot of players were able to play that well as the game was moving very fast. It is incredibly unfair to judge the two on one game after what a great campaign both have had.
