Leeds United winger Daniel James has been struggling with his fitness and was only fit enough to make the bench against Bournemouth at the weekend, when he remained an unused substitute.
However, there has been more bad news around the Welsh winger, as there are suggestions that the player has picked up another serious injury in training this week.
It has been claimed that while Leeds are still assessing the damage, the winger is expected to be out for months and may not be back in action for the Whites for a long time.
However, the latest announcement around James has left Leeds fans baffled and confused about the fitness of their player ahead of the next international break.
Daniel James is named in the Wales squad

If James is seriously injured, the Welsh FA and Wales manager Craig Bellamy have yet to be informed.
The winger has been named in the Wales squad that will face England and Belgium during the next international break.

He is part of a strong Leeds contingent, which includes Joe Rodon, Ethan Ampadu and Karl Darlow, that is scheduled to join the Welsh national team camp next week.
However, doubts linger over James’ fitness, and if he faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, the winger is expected to withdraw from the squad in the coming days.
Leeds are yet to provide any clarity over his injury status, adding more confusion to the rumours doing the rounds.
Daniel Farke will provide an update on James’ injury in his pre-match press conference later this week, but if he pulls out of the Wales squad before that, it will more or less confirm everything.
Can you name the team Leeds United signed these players from in the 2000s?
