Leeds United will be gutted to go into this international break with a loss. The Whites lost their first league game at home this season.
The defeat ended a run of positive results in the last few games. After the result away to Fulham, Leeds beat Wolves and held Bournemouth to a draw. The would have beaten the Cherries, but were denied by a late goal.
Daniel Farke’s side sit in 15th in the Premier League with eight points from seven games. The Whites are one of the newly promoted sides who have performed above expectations early this season.

Danny Murphy speaks on Leeds United’s chances of survival this season

Former Premier League player Danny Murphy was speaking about teams’ chances of survival this season. When asked about whether Leeds would be one of the teams going down, he initially included them, before reversing his decision and backing them to stay up.
“Off the top of my head, I would go Burnley, Wolves, and Leeds. Sorry, Leeds, I hope I am wrong. I might swap Leeds, actually, I think Brentford might slip below Leeds,” Murphy said.
Leeds have shown a lot of positives
Since the Fulham game last month, something seemed to have changed in the team. Daniel Farke decided to shake up the attack, introducing Brenden Aaronson and Noah Okafor. It has not worked out perfectly, but it has yielded some results. The trio were pivotal to the huge win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers, and in the Bournemouth game, they nearly won all three points.
Aaronson brought some solidity down the right hand flank; he is not a winger, but Farke seems to have carved out a new role for him. This has allowed Jayden Bogle to be much more influential in attack as seen in the Spurs game.
Noah Okafor has also been a breath of fresh air; the Whites finally have a player who loves to take on defenders. Dominic Calvert-Lewin has proven to be a handful for opponents up top, but his finishing still leaves a lot to be desired. If things continue to click, Leeds stand a chance at surviving relegation.
