According to David Ornstein, Leeds United have finally agreed to a deal with Newcastle over Sean Longstaff.
The Whites had their third bid for the midfielder rejected earlier this week. Longstaff has been on the club’s radar for a while and Daniel Farke feels like his quality will be needed in the Premier League. It looks like Leeds have finally made an offer closer to the Magpies valuation, which will be in excess of £12 million.
Longstaff has already agreed to personal terms, and barring any changes, the deal will completed anytime from now.
An attacker needs to be the club’s next signing
After finally addressing the midfield, Leeds need to add another attacker. Since losing Solomon, the club have an empty spot from last season. The club can do with another wide attacker who can replicate Solomon’s output from last year. The former Spurs man had over 20 goal involvements during the previous campaign.
Leeds are already monitoring the market to see if they can get another center forward.
Longstaff provides unique skillset
The main thing Sean Longstaff brings is the ability to play in the Premier League; he immediately becomes one of the most experienced players in the squad. Outside that, his skillset is quite unique – he is effective at both ends of the pitch.
