Because of the recent PSR rules in English football, clubs have to make sure they spend what they earn. Which means in the summer, Leeds United will have to be cautious during the transfer window.
The Whites will receive a huge financial boost after being promoted. Leeds will receive in excess of £100million ahead of next season. But in January, the club was flirting with PSR which meant they could not really sign new players. One of the major ways Leeds can make money to spend is by offloading some players.
There are a lot of candidates that could be available come this summer, as Daniel Farke looks to shape his team for the Premier League.

Joe Gelhardt has had a decent loan spell with Hull City this season. The forward was sent out on loan after making just two appearances before January. The 22-year-old scored twice as the Tigers beat Preston to move closer to safety. Reports claim that Hull could push to sign Gelhardt this summer, either on a loan or a permanent deal.
But according to Hull Live, Leeds are demanding a ‘significant’ fee for Gelhardt which could complicate any further deal for the forward. The forward is expected to attract a lot of interest this summer.
No need for the club to keep a player who wants to leave
Joe Gelhardt wants to leave to play first team football. He has echoed this sentiment multiple times this season. The 22-year-old has already said he is not looking forward to being on the bench next year:
“I wasn’t playing at Leeds, and now I’ve got a taste of football,” Gelhardt told Hull Live. “I don’t want to be sitting on a bench and not playing my football. I’ve enjoyed it so much here, so I’d like to play football again next year. I don’t know where that’s going to be, but I definitely want to be playing football.”
Leeds should let the forward leave, he could even command a decent fee this summer.
