Leeds United will reportedly explore signing a center forward later this summer. The club already signed Lukas Nmecha but see a serious opportunity to bolster the attack.
Joel Piroe played almost every league game last season, and his backup was young Mateo Joseph, who Daniel Farke barely played during the campaign. Patrick Bamford was also injured for most of the season, so failed to make any impact off the bench.
Heading into next season, Piroe has already warned that he will fight for his place in the team despite all the transfer rumours.
“When you play in the Championship, you know that you’re not looked at as much. But of course it’s nice to hear that you’re not forgotten. I think that if I show myself in the Premier League, they can’t ignore me anymore.”

The club are yet to decide on who to sign this summer. Many targets are on the table, but no concrete offers have been made yet.
Lecce star Nikola Krstovic was a major target, but after long talks with the club, Leeds decided he was not a priority anymore. The club recently reached out to Callum Wilson to see if they can sign him on a free transfer the summer. Wilson left Newcastle United and is now a free agent.
Real Madrid could sell Gonzalo Garcia
Another potential target could be Real Madrid youngster Gonzalo Garcia. The striker has made his case during the Club World Cup when he scored four goals. The Spanish side are yet to decide what the plan for the 21-year old this summer. Reports indicated that he could be sold, with Leeds and Sunderland monitoring the situation.
Cadena SER have reported that Garcia is one of four names that could leave Madrid this summer. Rodrygo Goes, Endrick and Dani Ceballos are the other names said to be available.
£17 million could be enough to persuade the La Liga side to part ways with the youngster.
Does Garcia fit the bill?
Garcia scored 25 goals in 36 games for Madrid’s Castilla side last season. And even though it is reserve football, a lot of players have been able to make the transition to first team stardom. This has been evident in the Club World Cup, where Garcia has demonstrated that he is good enough to play for Real Madrid.
The 21-year old could be the perfect market opportunity for Leeds: he has a decent price range, and fits the age bracket. The Whites can totally risk taking a chance on a talent like this.
Can’t think of a single reason why he would join us
No chance if Sunderland are involved, somehow they actually sign players.
Garcia fits the bill but he might not go for that price after his recent heroics at the Club World Championship. Added to this is Madrid tradition of wanting to exert control on their up and coming Castilas with a buy back clause or 50% joint ownership of the player. This are some of stringent conditions Real Madrid attach to the sales of their Castila players.
If Leeds are seriously in need of him at the moment tentatively, they might go for a dry loan and start looking for a befitting striker while Garcia loan lasted.
