Leeds United boss Daniel Farke has been keen on adding some firepower to the team this summer. The Whites have lost some attacking edge over the last few seasons.
Leeds are yet to replace Georginio Rutter and Crysencio Summerville, who left last summer. Manor Solomon also returned to Spurs after contributing 22 goals in the Championship this past season.
The Leeds squad heading into the Premier League looks a bit underwhelming in attack. Joel Piroe seems to be the main option going into August. The Whites were linked to Lecce striker Nikola Krstovic a few months ago, with the player keen on a move this summer:
“I am thinking about the next matches with the national team, then I will talk to the people closest to me and decide what is best for me. At the moment I am closer to leaving the club.”

Leeds United could sign Lecce striker

The 25-year old has been valued around £25million this summer, after his 12 league goals helped his club survive relegation. Now, it looks like the door is open for a deal for the player.
Lecce sporting director Pantaleo Corvino said during the end-of-season press conference that some players could be sold this summer:
“Since we are a healthy club, if no one asks us to leave, we do not sell anyone. In January we had requests for him, which would have been useful for our project.” he told TMW.
“But we are so healthy that if a player does not want to leave we keep him. If the same player tells me he wants to be sold, we try to satisfy him. We cannot allow players to stay here against their will.”
Door could be open for Leeds move
A market opportunity has now presented itself to Leeds United. Krstovic has only been linked and does not look to be a priority on the shortlist, but the striker has been impressive. Carrying an attack that scored a total of 27 goals, and contributing 18 of them is a big deal.
It shows his tenacity and ability to lead the line and drag his team, something Leeds could need in the Premier League.
