Leeds United are set to boos their squad with some additions this summer. But where they will find their players from has been mixed due to reports. Daniel Farke and the recruitment team are already working after the season ended.
The recruitment before the season starts is the most important for promoted teams. Getting quality players through the door may be the difference between survival and relegation. Leeds managed to sign Robin Koch, Raphinha and Rodrigo Moreno the last time they were promoted in 2020. All those signings played a big part as the Whites finished in the top half in the Premier League.
So far, Leeds have been linked with a mix of Premier League players and other stars from top European leagues. Fans will be very interested in who lines up for the team when the season kicks off in August.

Since the club was promoted, the links to Kalvin Phillips have refused to die down. Since leaving the club a few seasons ago, he has been in the news to return for the past two summers. He joined Ipswich Town on loan this season, and has not had the best of times. Since Leeds are back in the Premier League, Phillips has been one of the first names mentioned.
Graeme Bailey has now revealed that the midfielder is keen on a return to Elland Road:
“Leeds are looking at the Phillips situation intently. He wants to come back. It won’t be a permanent deal, I think it’s the perfect opportunity for Leeds . Leeds should do everything they can to bring him back.” he said to Leeds United news.
“He could be extraordinarily good. He’s still a very good Premier League player. He’s made some wrong decisions, he should have gone to Newcastle but I’d be surprised if they decide not to bring Phillips back.
“He is one of Leeds top targets this window, loan with an option. Leeds will have no issue matching what Ipswich are paying . My understanding is he wants to come back, Leeds want him. I think it gets done.”
Leeds are expected to have a huge budget this summer.
Kalvin Phillips is the ideal Premier League signing
At 29 years, Phillips is still in shape to compete over a season. His form has not been great, but his time at Ipswich has proved he can contribute to a team in the Premier League. Kalvin Phillips will come with bags of experience, and his profile is one the current Leeds team lacks.
He has sometimes been deployed in defence, which could offer different options to Daniel Farke.
