European club reveal stance on signing £10M Leeds star – move could affect transfer plans

Leeds United transfers

Leeds United could look to make some transfers in the January window. With the current form of the club, some serious reinforcements will be needed if the Whites want to stand a chance at survival.

It is widely known among the fanbase that the 49ers failed in the summer window. Despite splashing over £100 million and improving multiple areas of the squad, there are still some large holes in the team. And the lack of investment in the attack has been showing in recent results. This season, Leeds have just not been able to finish off chances consistently, leading to some poor results.

Lukas Nmecha, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor have had mixed seasons, with none of them really standing out. This lead some fans to question why the likes of Mateo Joseph, Joe Gelhardt and Largie Ramazani were allowed to leave in the summer.

Update on some Leeds United transfers

Speaking of the attacking players the club let go off in the summer window, some have excelled this season. Gelhardt has been great for Hull City in the Championship this season. But according to reports, a decision on his future will not be made until the summer. Mateo Joseph is in a similar predicament; though the forward has not been as good as others, he has shown he can play at the top level. His former coach has tipped him to stay at Mallorca past this season.

Largie Ramazani 5 0 1
Joe Gelhardt 18 9 3
Mateo Joseph 14 2 1

Largie Ramazani was sort of a surprise exit a few months ago; many though he would get a chance this season. But he was shipped out on loan to Valencia, where things have not really gone his way. Injuries have affected his loan spell, and he has not played that much.

Valencia reveal stance on Largie Ramazani

When it comes to the Belgian’s future, there has been a major development. Ramazani has returned from injury and is set to feature as the fixture list becomes congested. According to Estadio Deportivo, Valencia boss Carlos Corberán has backed the winger to succeed this season.

However, when it comes to a possible permanent deal, the club believe that the ‘situation will have to change drastically’ for the La Liga side to consider a move for him beyond this season. So unless the winger can spark some magic between now and next summer, he will return to Elland Road.
