Even after signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Leeds United are set to dip into the transfer market for some further additions. Daniel Farke has already made some transfer demands of the club.
There are plans to add a few more players to the attack, but that is not the only position Leeds will address. A fullback could be part of the list of targets.
”I’ve praised our key people so far, mentioned several times we’re on a good path, done lots in defence midfield and goalkeeper positions, and also full-back. I’ve also been clear we need to strengthen our squad, perhaps one more full-back but especially in offence. With Dominic it’s the first step, an important step, but there is still business to be done.”
Farke saw the impact of the absence of Jayden Bogle in the team in pre-season, and could be looking for a backup.

It was reported earlier today that Max Wober had suffered another injury at Werder Bremen. After returning from a knock, the defender has now picked up a thigh injury expected to be a hamstring problem. The Austrian is expected to be out ‘for the coming weeks’, which has in turn changed Bremen’s transfer plans.
Deich Stube are reporting that the Bundesliga side is pushing to complete the deal for Isaac Schmidt as cover for Wober’s injury. Werder Bremen had an agreement in place weeks ago, but Leeds wanted to sign a replacement first. A few weeks have passed and the deal has not been completed.
But the report says the German club have hope of sealing a transfer soon.
Door open for a new fullback to arrive
If Bremen are pushing for the deal for Schmidt, then it definitely means that Leeds are close to signing a replacement. A lot of reports have linked the club to signing Leicester City star James Justin, but a formal offer is yet to be submitted.
A lot is expected to happen in the next two weeks as clubs race against time to finish their transfer business before the window closes.
