European giants looking to whisk away Marcelo Bielsa

There appears to be a merry-go-round when it comes to managers in Europe at the moment although no one seems to want to get off.

Every time Spurs appear settled on a manager, the deal falls through whilst Everton’s ambition of bringing in former Liverpool-coach Rafa Benitez has taken backwards steps in recent weeks and they’re not the only ones.

It seems Leeds United have a very settled manager in Marcelo Bielsa. The Argentinian super coach has stayed at Elland Road longer than anyone expected and appears to be on the road to cementing the Yorkshire club as a top 10 Premier League side. However, his future now seems in doubt.

One of the many clubs struggling to settle on a manager have now made contact with Bielsa over a possible switch across Europe. Fiorentina looked set to appoint Vincenzo Italiano as their new manager but his compensation demands have made the Italian giants question the appointment.

In a last-minute panic, they’ve gone in search of a bigger name making contact with Bielsa and Benitez over a potential move.

It’s not that first time that Fiorentina have made a play for Bielsa however it still seems unlikely that he’d leave his current project in Yorkshire to take up the job. Bielsa appears settled at Elland Road. His team continues to improve year on year and he’ll want to see just how far he can take them after they finished just shy of European football last season.
