European star could abandon Champions League football for Leeds United move – club would listen to summer offer

The last time Leeds United were back in the Premier League was the 2020/21 season. Marcelo Bielsa sent the Whites back up to the English top flight for the first time in over 15 years.

Leeds exceeded all expectations that season, finishing in 9th place scoring 62 goals. 18 wins as a newly promoted side is unheard of in this era. The past two seasons have seen the promoted clubs all relegated in the same season.

The reason the club went so far in that campaign was that they had a lot of contributors in attack. Leeds have four players with 10 or more goal involvements that season. Summer signings Raphinha and Rodrigo Moreno combined for 24 goals that season – the recruitment was spot on.

This is what the club will have to repeat this summer.

Daniel Farke will be involved in recruiting for the Premier League after his influence this season. The Leeds boss was instrumental in bringing Ao Tanaka and Manor Solomon to Elland Road. Farke could play a part in bringing the Spurs star on a permanent deal this summer. The player’s agent has recently dropped a huge update on Solomon’s future.

Leeds are set to add more firepower this summer. According to Sport.ua, Dynamo Kyiv striker Vladyslav Vanat is on the radar of the Whites. Fulham are also said to be interested in a deal for the 23-year old. The report says that Dynamo are open to selling the player, but will only sanction a deal after Champions League qualification. Kyiv are currently set to play in the second qualifying round, with the draw in June.

After the result, the player could be free to move to England. If he does arrive at Elland Road, it means Vladyslav Vanat will choose Premier League football for Champions League football.

Is Vanat any good?

Vladyslav Vanat has 43 goals over the last three seasons in Ukraine. He is just 22 years old, but he has shown he can be prolific. Vanat has also netted in the Europa League, showing the calibre of player he is. If clubs like Fulham are after him, there is a lot of promise there.

Leeds could potentially sign a ”Champions League” striker this summer. And the squad will have some extra bodies in attack.
