“Even we beat them” – Radio host takes swipe at Leeds ahead of Tottenham clash

Leeds United have a say in the future of two London clubs in the Premier League this season. In their next three games, the Whites face Spurs, Brighton and West Ham.

It just so happens that after the results of the past few weeks, the Hammers and Roberto De Zerbi’s side are now fighting to avoid the last place in the bottom three this season. Spurs have won back-to-back Premier League games for the first time in months, and will be hoping to get another result against Leeds United. West Ham are up against Arsenal on Sunday, and will be hoping for a result that will put Spurs under pressure ahead of Monday night.

Radio host takes swipe at Leeds United ahead of Monday night

TalkSPORT duo Andy Jacobs and Paul Hawksbee have been speaking ahead of the crucial games in the Premier League weekend. They also discussed the games between Arsenal and West Ham, and Leeds United and Spurs.

Andy Jacobs said on talkSPORT: “I don’t see West Ham doing anything against Arsenal. I think that gives Tottenham a chance on Monday night against Leeds, and I think they get a result against Leeds.

Paul Hawksbee added: “That is not as obvious as you think, Leeds have been good for a while now and they are not an easy team to beat.

Jacobs then backed Roberto De Zerbi’s side to pull off the win, especially after his team Chelsea managed to beat them in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.

“Yes, but I see Tottenham getting something. Look, even we (Chelsea) beat Leeds in the FA Cup semi-final a few weeks ago so they are beatable. I just see Tottenham getting something out of Leeds.”

Pressure could overwhelm Tottenham

Going into Monday night’s game, Spurs have the most pressure on them as any slip up could push them down the table. Leeds on the other hand just need something to go their way in order to secure Premier League survival. The Whites will be more relaxed and focused ahead of this game; and the players already know their aim at this part of the season. Spurs have more to lose, and that could weigh heavily on them when they host the Whites on Monday night. Roberto De Zerbi has to get things spot on if he wants to stand a chance at survival.
