With the summer transfer window closer than ever, Leeds United are making plans as they prepare for life in the Premier League. Daniel Farke’s men could seal automatic promotion in the next few days.
Leeds will hope that their return to the Premier League this time around will be as good as last time. Marcelo Bielsa lead the Whites to the English top flight in 2020. Leeds finished that campaign in the top half of the league, staying well clear of the relegation zone. Bielsa’s side set records for most points and goals by a newly promoted side in that season.
The Whites were such a strong team because they added some depth and quality in the summer window before the Premier League season began. Leeds fans will hope that this summer’s signings can do same when they are eventually promoted.

It was reported earlier this week that West Ham midfielder Tomas Soucek was linked to Leeds United. Daniel Farke is said to be a big fan of the 30-year old, and is eager to bring him to Elland Road this summer. The club are also keeping their eye on Evan Ferguson, who is on loan at West Ham this season.
Leeds will not be the only club in the race, as it has been reported that Everton are also keen on the Czech midfielder. According to The West Ham Way, David Moyes is willing to reunite with his former player this summer. The report adds that the Hammers could consider a sale, but no fee has been mentioned yet.
Can Leeds beat Everton to sign Tomas Soucek?
David Moyes will heavily influence any deal when it ultimately comes down to it. Between 2020 and 2023, the midfielder played more minutes than any other West Ham player under Moyes. Leeds can try to persuade Soucek by offering more money or a higher transfer fee, but it is very rare that a player would move to a newly-promoted side over a more stable Premier League club. Leeds would be better off monitoring other targets for now.
