Every free agent Leeds United could sign as Mitrovic and Brownhill targeted

Leeds United had a nightmarish final day of the transfer window. They failed to bring in the attacking reinforcements that Daniel Farke wanted, and there are no real concerns about their chances of Premier League survival this season.

The Whites were looking to bring in two more attackers towards the end of the window, but they failed to sign even one after their deadline day move for Wales winger Harry Wilson collapsed following Fulham changing their mind about selling him with minutes left in the window.

The two strikers Leeds signed in the summer – Lukas Nmecha and Dominic Calvert-Lewin – are injury-prone, and Noah Okafor has already picked up a groin injury since joining the Yorkshire giants from AC Milan.

Leeds are now sniffing around in the free agent market, and some quality players are without clubs at the moment.

Can you name these 10 former Leeds United strikers?

The free agents Leeds United could pick up to bolster their squad

Josh Brownhill

The former Burnley captain is touted to be on his way to Saudi Arabia, but a deal has not been confirmed yet. He could be tempted to change his mind, given his willingness to play in the Premier League.

Aleksandar Mitrovic

He is still contracted to Al-Hilal, but the Saudi club are desperate to move him on. They are even considering terminating his contract to allow the former Fulham striker to leave on a free transfer.

Christian Eriksen

The Denmark captain is available on a free transfer since leaving Manchester United. He is a vastly experienced Premier League star, and would add value to a team that need such experience in their squad.

Hakim Ziyech

Another former Premier League star who is available on a free transfer. Leeds need another option on the right wing, and despite his recent injury troubles, Ziyech could add experience and quality to the Whites’ forward line.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain

The former Arsenal and Liverpool star terminated his contract with Besiktas towards the end of the window, and wants to return to England. He has been linked with a move to Leeds and Birmingham City.

Dele Alli

The attacking midfielder has returned to the free-agent market following his departure from Serie A outfit Como. Capped by England, the playmaker is best remembered for his standout spell at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ianis Hagi

Hagi spent five years at Rangers, but left the club at the end of last season when his contract expired. An attacking midfielder by trade, he can play in several forward positions.

Wissam Ben Yedder

The 35-year-old striker is available for a free transfer following spells at Sevilla and Monaco. He is an experienced striker who could be a short-term option for a team needing a forward.
