Leeds United made history on Saturday, in their 3-1 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux. The Whites now have their first win on the road this campaign.
After a week of talks that the Leeds attack is not good, they found their scoring boots today – finding the back of the net three times. Daniel Farke made the bold decision to stick with the same starting lineup from the Fulham game. The attack was Brenden Aaronson, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, with two of them ending up with goals.
Farke’s men can now look forward to their next game with seven points in the bag so far.

Leeds United boss speaks on the narratives after big result

Before the game, there were so many topics being discussed among the fanbase. Some said Daniel Farke was under pressure, and others thought the attack would fail to score again this weekend. Leeds beat Wolves and scored three goals away from home. Farke was speaking to the media after the win, and said how narratives quickly change after games:
“The narrative in this club changes every week.
“With seven points, everyone will now discuss Europe. Football is emotions and people can fear the worst after a loss.
“I am glad we send them home to a nice weekend. We stay humble. They can dream a bit.”
The Leeds boss said he did not like some parts of the game, as he felt his side could have been more defensively solid in some moments. Wolves brought some pressure in the second half, and many will say the Whites were lucky to survive.
“I would have preferred to dominate the second half a bit more but if necessary to show steel is also important,” he said.
“We’ve shown many clean sheets last season and really good defensive behaviours in every game except Arsenal. I think the first five game days proved we belong in this league, we can win games on this level.”
Farke has a point
Leeds fans have been very volatile since the end of the summer window. The club’s operations have had some critics especially after failing to sign an attacker in the dying weeks of the window.
The fans are right to be disappointed by some results, but Daniel Farke is right – their opinions cannot be changing with every week. There are 30+ games left in the season, and a long way to go.
