Former Leeds player Simon Walton insists that the Whites hierarchy and their recruitment need to scrutinized for their failures this season.
Leeds sit just a point above relegation after losing to Fulham over the weekend. The Whites have lost their last three league games in a row and now have a 41% chance of being relegated towards the final weeks of the season.
Javi Gracia has taken a lot of the blame for Leeds’ recent form but Walton feels the problem is not on the coach:
“The thought process behind some of the signings and some of the people who have been brought in needs to be questioned.
Walton believes that the there is only so much he can do to make the squad work. He also said that questions need to be asked about some of the players the club have signed in recent windows.
“I know for a manager, it lays at your door at the end of the day, but there comes a point where there is only so much you can do.
“Sometimes you have to look above.”
Leeds face Leicester City on Tuesday night.
