Carlton Palmer calls for the return of former Leeds coach

Ex-Leeds player Carlton Palmer has suggested that former Leeds coach Paul Heckingbottom return to the club to help save their season.

Heckingbottom was Leeds coach for half a season before the club hired Marcelo Bielsa. The Englishman was only able to win 4 out of his 16 games in charge.

Former Leeds player Carlton Palmer feels like the Sheffield United coach would be best equipped to keep the team in the Premier League:

“I’ll throw a name at you and I live in Sheffield and they won’t be too happy, the job that Heckingbottom has done at Sheffield United, he is one I would be looking at.

“He has done a fantastic job.

“The job he has done is absolutely remarkable at Sheffield United and they are all but going to get promoted to the Premier League.

“I don’t think there will be a massive compensation for him if he was to go.”

Heckingbottom is currently with Sheffield United who sit in second place in the Championship.
