Expert reveals date Leeds could sack Daniel Farke if struggles occur

Leeds have struggled against promotion rivals this season, drawing against Norwich, West Bromwich Albion, and Sunderland. They also lost to Burnley, making it difficult to secure wins against teams competing for the top two automatic promotion spots.

The Yorkshire side entered the international break in fifth place in the Championship with four wins, four draws, and one loss from their first nine matches.

Leeds last had a three-match winning streak in the league back in March. Since then, they’ve won just seven out of 20 matches, which is far from good enough.

Farke remains the right person for the job, and there’s no reason why Leeds can’t start another strong run when club action resumes. However, if they continue to draw and lose against promotion rivals, the situation could change quickly.

Could Daniel Farke be sacked soon?

The Whites will need to find consistency following the latest FIFA international break. Farke and his team will get another chance to take on a promotion rival when they host Sheffield United at Elland Road on October 18.

A draw or loss could spark questions about whether Farke’s job is at risk, especially if he fails to secure a win against a team vying for one of the two automatic promotion spots. David Norris believes any bad run could even see Farke sacked before Christmas.

“The problem for Daniel Farke is that he can’t go five or six games without a win, that pressure is really on,“ Norris told MOT Leeds News.

“Carlos Corberan at West Brom was obviously someone they were linked with not too long ago, and he’s done really well since leaving as Leeds’ number two. West Brom should be worried about his release clause.

“Any sort of bad run and I do think Leeds could push the button, even if it’s this side of Christmas.”

It will be interesting to see if Leeds can get a win over the Blades and calm the situation down significantly after the surprise ending in the draw against Sunderland. If not, the supporters will begin to express their displeasure about where the squad is heading.
