Leeds United are not in a good place after Saturday’s result. Their loss to Burnley meant that the club are winless in their last four games in the Premier League.
A huge dent after a promising start to the campaign; after the September international break, there were so much positives. The lineup change at Fulham lead to the win over Wolves, and a huge result against Bournemouth. Daniel Farke’s men narrowly lost to Spurs, but there was belief in the team. This recent loss has set off a few alarm bells around the club at this point in the season.

Off the pitch, the club has been busy just over two months into the new season. A settlement was reached after Leeds took Everton to court after the PSR breach in 2021. There has been no confirmed fee, but reports suggest it is in the £2million range.
The FA recently opened an investigating into objects being thrown when Spurs visited Elland Road a few weeks ago. Projectiles could be seen flying at Tottenham stars Mohammed Kudus and Pedro Porro during the match.
Now, a second investigation has been opened after this weekend’s loss to Burnley. Lancashire Police revealed that they were aware of an alleged incident involving a Burnley player during Saturday’s game. Said player was accused of spitting on a Leeds fan. The Daily Mail Sport have exclusively revealed that the FA have also opened their investigation into the incident.
Official statement by the Lancashire Police
“Lancashire Police are aware of an alleged incident involving a Burnley player during the second half of the Premier League game between Burnley and Leeds United at Turf Moor on Saturday 18th October. We are currently working with Burnley Football Club to establish the facts.”
The FA are said to be in the initial stage of their investigation, and nothing has been confirmed yet. Burnley and Leeds have been made aware of the incident, but neither side have decided to comment.
