The transfer window is spicing up as Leeds United make renewed efforts to add more attackers to their squad before the start of the Premier League season in less than three weeks. Daniel Farke wants more creativity and goals in his squad in the next few weeks.
Leeds have spent a shade over £75m on seven new signings, but six of them are defenders and midfielders, and the only attacking arrival has been Lukas Nmecha on a free transfer earlier in the window. The Whites are now focused on adding more creativity and goals to their squad for considerable money.
The Whites have held talks with Leicester City attacking midfielder Bilal El Khannouss and his representatives, and are prepared to trigger the £24.5m release clause and pay all the associated costs to snare him away from the King Power Stadium this summer.
Leeds are also focused on adding strikers to their squad, and are considering moves for Fulham’s Rodrigo Muniz and Roma’s Artem Dovbyk as they push to bring in a starting number 9 who can lead the line for the club next season.

Igor Paixao breaks silence after failed Leeds United efforts

Leeds pushed hard to sign the Feyenoord winger this summer. Daniel Farke and Whites’ new boy, Lucas Perri, held talks with the Brazilian, with the latter chatting for an hour with him to convince him to move to Elland Road.
The club reached an agreement in principle with Feyenoord, and even had the green light on terms from the player’s camp, but Paixao ultimately decided to opt for Marseille.
It has been suggested that the winger opted to play at the top level of European football at Marseille rather than play relegation football at Leeds.
The winger landed in France earlier today ot complete the move and has been welcomed by Marseille fans.
Paixao is enthralled by the reception he has received in France and insists that he is joining a big European club in Marseille.
“I feel good. I’m really happy to be here. It’s a great atmosphere. It’s fantastic, incredible”, the winger was quoted as saying by Foot Mercato.
“Marseille is a big club in Europe, it’s really good. I’m happy. Go Marseille!”
Leeds have moved on
The Whites were disappointed at missing out on Paixao, and felt that they almost had him before Marseille tabled an improved offer towards the end.
However, Leeds have moved on, and it appears they are all in to convince Leicester star El Khannouss to move to Elland Road in the ongoing transfer window.
He is considered a versatile attacking midfielder who can play as a number 10 as well as on the left flank when required.
If the Moroccan agrees to join Leeds, the Whites will trigger his release clause and snare him away from Leicester this summer.
