Chelsea, Leeds United, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United are set to be under FIFA scrutiny for not releasing their players for the Brazil national side, according to Globo Esporte.
Brazil manager Tite called up a list of substitutes after Premier League clubs announced that red list countries would not receive their players for international games.
Now, though, FIFA are ‘expected’ to take action by forcing the five named above to release their stars.
If they do not, then FIFA’s rules dictate that those players called up could not be used for five days by their domestic clubs.
So Chelsea’s Thiago Silva, Leeds United’s Raphinha, Liverpool’s Alisson, Fabinho and Roberto Firmino, Manchester City’s Ederson and Gabriel Jesus, and Manchester United’s Fred would all miss round four of the Premier League season.
