According to Phil Hay, Leeds will keep goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson and promote him to second choice this season.
Klaesson, who barely featured for the club last season, is set to be given a new role in the upcoming season. The 22-year old has been at Leeds for two years but has only made one senior appearance for the club. The stopper was second choice last season before being replaced by Joel Robles
Hay spoke on the Norwegian goalie’s future at Elland Road:
“Klaesson is our only thing you would describe as an experienced goalkeeper. Klaesson I think will stick around. The plan was for him to stick around and be second choice this season but they will be in the market for someone else.”
The 22-year old has two years remaining on his current contract.
