Former Leeds owner had to lock himself in dressing room to avoid outraged fans in Italy

Reports in Italy claim that former Leeds United owner Massimo Cellino locked himself in the dressing room of his current club to escape their fuming fans.

Cellino acquired the Serie B club after he was bought out at Elland Road by Andrea Radrizzani in 2017.Brescia sit bottom of Serie B, four points from safety with eight games to go.

The club had failed to win their last five games, and a 3-0 home loss to Genoa on Saturday was the final straw for the supporters. Bresciaingol reported that some of the club’s ultras tried to search for Cellino at the Stadio Mario Rigamont after the match.

Early last month, Cellino slammed the Brescia fans for bringing a “climate of terror” to the club:

“A climate of terror has been created. There is no need to attack me verbally and physically as happened in recent days, I will remove the disturbance as soon as possible,”

Brescia are without a league win since November and are on their fourth manager of the season
