Leeds United boss Daniel Farke made a bold decision during the run in, that some will argue won the club the league title. After a poor run of form, Farke made a change in the starting lineup.
Illan Meslier’s abysmal performance in goal against Swansea was the last straw for the Leeds United boss. The Frenchman was sent to the bench, and Karl Darlow took over till the end of the season. In that seven-game stretch, the Whites conceded just four goals on their way to lifting the Championship.
Multiple outlets reported that Meslier’s time had come to and end at Elland Road and that the keeper would seek a move away this summer. Patrick Bamford’s comments about the incident with Farke has opened the door to Meslier staying this summer.

Leeds United could sign new goalkeeper

Leeds have found themselves amidst links to some goalkeepers over the past month. Aaron Ramsdale, James Trafford and Sam Johnstone being among the names. So far, nothing has progressed, with just a few days to the start of the summer transfer window.
The latest news suggests that the Whites are working on a deal behind the scenes for a new shot stopper. That is according to former Leeds star Gary Kelly. The former Ireland international is convinced that Liverpool goalkeeper Caomhin Kelleher will be in white at the end of the transfer window:
“Yeah there is, more so with Caoimhin. There’s a lot of talk about him coming to Elland Road. We have two good goalkeepers at Leeds right now.” he said speaking to TalkSPORT Ireland.
“The step up, Caoimhin needs first-team football if he wants to hold on to the Irish number one as well. At Elland Road, that would be a great signing. I’m sure Daniel will have his own ideas and transfer targets, I’m sure he knows and has pencilled out the players to bring to Elland Road, if Caoimhin is one of them, he’d be great.”
Liverpool are said to be holding out for a £30million fee for their backup keeper.
Leeds need to clear up the Meslier saga
Leeds need to make a decision. The longer this goes on, the more it may disrupt pre season plans. If the club wants to sell him or keep him, they should make it known soon. Not a lot of time between the transfer window and the new Premier League season.
That is the same way the club never cleared up the Jack Harrison issue, and now he has returned after almost two years away.
He is going to Villa. This is all BS
