This has been a demanding season for Leeds United; the club were tipped to be relegated but have held their own so far. They now have a huge chance to book another season in the top flight if results go their way.

Daniel Farke’s men have nine games left in the Premier League to decide their fate. One thing the club did extremely well this season is keep the consistency – Leeds are one of the only clubs in the relegation battle that did not sack their head coach. Spurs Nottingham Forest, West Ham and Wolves all changed coaches during the season.

But the 49ers kept faith with Daniel Farke near the end of last year. The team was in poor form, and had a brief spell in the relegation zone, but the Leeds boss turned things around.

Former Leeds star Robbie Keane linked with Celtic job

The same cannot be said for Tottenham; who are now closer to danger than ever. The London club have now won a game in the league since February and are currently winless under interim boss Igor Tudor. Tudor has done such a poor job that there were reports he would be replaced by Robbie Keane.

Robbie Keane Managerial Career ⚽
Club Games Wins Win %
ATK Mohun Bagan 3 2 67%
Maccabi Tel Aviv 56 41 73%
Ferencváros 71 44 62%
TOTAL 130 87 67%

Now, The Guardian is tipping Keane to be the next Celtic boss. Reports suggest that the club are making plans to restructure the technical team in the summer, and have earmarked the former Leeds star as an option. The club believe that the 45-year old will be a great fit in Glasgow, and that his recent achievements at previous clubs are impressive. Robbie Keane guided Maccabi Tel Aviv to a league title in his only season there, and won Ferencvaros a league Championship last season.

Whites should plan with Daniel Farke for the future

Speaking of managers, Leeds United should maintain Daniel Farke regardless of the outcome of this season. The German has showed he is good enough to coach at this level – he has made something impressive out of this group of players. If the Whites do remain in the Premier League, the 49ers need to back Farke to make sure he has the tools. And if they end up going down, the Leeds boss is exactly the man they can depend on to bring them right back up. The club should not rush into any decisions that involve sacking the German.
