The gap between newly promoted teams and the rest of the Premier League continues to widen. And Leeds United need to take this into consideration as they head back up to the English top flight next season.
For the second season in a row, we are about to see all three newly-promoted teams relegated once again. Leicester City and Ipswich who dominated the Championship, finished with some of the worst point tallies in this Premier League era.
Tim Sherwood has already advised Leeds to splash the cash and make serious additions to the squad if they want to stand a chance at survival.

Burnley and Leeds were both promoted as they finished in the automatic promotion places. Both teams have had a great campaign, and the race for the title could go down to the wire.
Former Premier League star Joe Hart says he believes this time around, there is hope for the newly promoted sides when they go up next season:
“He’s [Scott Parker] has made it absolutely clear that he wants a rock solid team,” Hart said on BBC Radio 5 Live. “I’ve just seen on the monitor that’s his third promotion, that’s impressive. He knows what to do in that Championship and he knows how to win games.
“There’s no way he’s going to come away from that next season, no way, especially after what he’s seen in the last two seasons from newly promoted sides. I think we’re going to see a totally different approach from the promoted sides.”
Leeds could finish with a 100 points in the Championship this season.
Will Daniel Farke change to a pragmatic approach to survive?
When Farke sent Norwich to the Premier League, he never changed their attacking style. They went into every game trying to score. It did not work out as they went straight back down. This Leeds team under him has been one of the best attacking sides in the division.

There is a slim chance he adapts this Leeds team for Premier League football. The Whites are the best team in the league in almost every metric – Goals, Expected Goals, and Expected Goals conceded. Daniel Farke does not look like he will change next season, but we will see.
