Adam Forshaw undergoes surgery after West Ham game

Jesse Marsch revealed after the West Ham game that midfielder Adam Forshaw underwent a ‘procedure’ to address his injury problems.

Leeds held the Hammers at Elland Road on Wednesday night to halt their poor run of form. Wilfried Gnonto netted the opener just before the 30-minute mark before Lucas Paqueta equalized from a penalty moments before the break.

Gianluca Scamacca scored just 45 seconds after the restart to give West Ham the lead. Leeds bounced back, scoring through Rodrigo, who netted his 10th goal of the season 20 minutes from time.

Adam Forshaw missed out on the squad for the game, with Jesse Marsch giving an update after the match:

“Small procedure today. Hip. Hopefully just a few days. Little shock that loosened things up and help him with the pain,” Marsch said in his press conference.

The midfielder has played only 157 minutes this season, let’s hope this surgery would be enough to keep him fit for the rest of the season.

We lost Klich and kept a guy who has spent more time with the club doctors than playing since he joined. In the real world, he would have been sacked or retired on health grounds.
