Leeds United this season has been a huge success for all involved. Daniel Farke has guided the team to the Premier League after losing the play off final last year.
Last summer was not the best of times for the club – losing your chance at the Premier League, and selling three of your best players is not a good look. Despite all that, Daniel Farke rallied his team this season. One could argue that the quality in the team was not adequately replaced before the season began.
But after winning the Championship and hitting the 100 point mark, nobody can argue abut Farke’s success with the team this season.

One person who has antagonized Leeds throughout the season has been Talksport pundit Gabby Agbonlahor. The former Aston Villa man has been overly critical of the Whites at times during the campaign. Leeds fans have not been happy with his comments, especially after he boldly claimed they would not be promoted.
After the club won the Championship this season, he took a shot at Leeds, saying the team will not have a better chance at Premier League survival than Burnley. This week, he has doubled down on his submission, saying that the only way the Whites will survive next season is if they change their style under Daniel Farke:
“Do you know what they need to do, Al? They need to change the way they play. Try and be hard to beat.”
Leeds do not need to change their style
There is a huge quality gap between the Premier League and Championship shown over the last two seasons. But the last thing Leeds United need to change is their style. The club statistically had a better defence than Burnley last season according to Expected Goals (xG).

And a team that hit 95 goals, with Joel Piroe as their lead striker is a very well coached side. Quality depth and reinforcements will surely be needed, but the team is good and can only get better under Daniel Farke.
