Leeds United are focused on ensuring they earn automatic promotion in the remaining eight games of the Championship season. Their recent form has led to suggestions of Leeds imploding despite still sitting at the top of the Championship table. Gabriel Agbonlahor, the usual agitator, is at it again and has made some outrageous claims about the Whites and what their fans are thinking.
Daniel Farke and the Leeds United players have little time to worry about the outside noise as they prepare to face Swansea City at Elland Road on Sunday.
Leeds are favourites going into this game, given their home form and the fact Swansea look like a team who are just drifting in midtable at this stage of the season.
Their run-in is more favourable than Sheffield United’s and Burnley’s, but that has not stopped Agbonlahor from stoking a fire at Leeds’ expense by running his mouth against the Whites.
This is what Leeds United always do, even their fans know it – Gabriel Agbonlahor
The former striker is known for his biases against Leeds and recently insisted that Daniel Farke would fail in the Premier League if the Whites go up.
Agbolabor is now insisting that there is no way Leeds will finish in the top two, given their propensity for implosions and stressed that if Leeds are to get promoted, it won’t be straightforward.
He stressed Leeds will only go up by winning the playoff final in the most tense manner possible and even the Leeds supporters know it.
“I don’t think they will, I think Leeds will miss out on the top two, I really do”, Agbonlahor said on talkSPORT.
“Yes, but this is what they do.
“You speak to ex-Leeds players and Leeds fans, they knew they weren’t going to go up comfortably.
“If they are going to go up, they are going to make it a final at Wembley, where [it goes into] extra-time [and] penalties. That’s how Leeds will go up if they do.
“I just think Sheffield United, for me, will definitely go up, and I feel like Burnley.
“I feel like Leeds will throw it away.”
A win on Saturday will shut him up for a bit
Farke and his players will not be listening to such outrageous claims and will keep their focus on beating Swansea at Elland Road on Saturday.
However, too many pundits are coming out of their closets and ensuring the maximum pressure can be applied on Leeds and their players ahead of the run-in.
Can you name the missing player from these 10 famous Leeds United photos?
Most are agreeing that Leeds are the best team in the Championship but are still insisting the Whites will somehow implode when they have to play six teams from the bottom half of the table in their remaining eight games.
The only way Leeds can shut ex-players such as Agbonlahor up is to put together a run of results that completely seals their mouth in the next couple of weeks.

Is this guy still “working” And if so..how?
