Daniel Farke is preparing his Leeds United side for Crystal Palace’s visit on Saturday evening, but Palace head coach Oliver Glasner has already admitted his concern about the Whites.
Leeds have taken five points from their last three Premier League matches, a run that has carried them out of the relegation zone and up to 17th in the table.
After a bleak spell that saw them lose six of their previous seven league games, the Whites have steadied themselves and begun to rediscover their edge, once again showcasing the resilience that defined their early-season form.
Gary Neville and Ian Wright have gone into a heated debate about what could happen on Saturday night when Oliver Glasner’s name will face Leeds at Elland Road.
Gary Neville disagrees with Ian Wright about Leeds United vs Crystal Palace
Leeds have shown in games against Liverpool and Chelsea how difficult they are to beat at home, and Palace have several injury concerns ahead of the weekend’s clash.
However, Wright has backed his former club to do something at Elland Road. He believes if the Eagles can deal with the Elland Road atmosphere, they can clinch a win in a five-goal thriller.
But Neville witnessed Leeds being strong at home in recent weeks and was present for the 3-3 draw against Liverpool.
He insisted that Leeds are a high-energy team at home and should be good enough to beat Palace 2-1 at Elland Road on Saturday night.
“I think Leeds at home is going to be a tough one”, Wright said on the Stick to Football podcast.
“I fancy Palace to do something; if they can see off the atmosphere, but they keep coming, Leeds.
“I will go 3-2 Palace.
“Leeds high energy, 2-1 to Leeds.”
Gary Neville is right
Gary Neville was left hugely impressed by Leeds when he watched them against Liverpool, and has backed them to survive.
Anyone present at the last two home games of Leeds will agree that they are going to be tough to beat at Elland Road this season.

Farke has shifted to a 5-3-2 formation, which has brought the best out of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who has scored in the last four Premier League games.
Palace are fifth in the Premier League, but they have several injury problems. Oliver Glasner has already indicated that he will try to start his best team at Elland Road and heavily rotate tonight in Europe.
Leeds have a whole week to prepare for a wary and vulnerable Palace team, and unless there are late injury worries, the manager should have his best team to pick from.
Neville is right, Leeds losing at home to this Palace side could be more of an upset than what their positions in the league table suggest.
