Leeds forward Georginio Rutter says he is excited about his new strike partner Joel Piroe.
The 21-year old has had a fantastic start to the season after a disappointing first few months at Elland Road. Rutter has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist in five games this season. He really seems to be in full flow, after his confident display last weekend.
The Frenchman says playing with new signing Joel Piroe has played a part in his new found form:
“Yeah, we speak every day,” he said. “Last game against Sheffield Wednesday we were not close, but today was better. I know for the future it can be better – now it’s really good but I know it can be even better. It’s a busy week but we will have good recovery so we are prepared for this.
“It’s a good day for the team, three points gives us more confidence and we are happy,” added. “When you come here it’s difficult to create goals and not to concede – so a 3-0 win is a good, good performance from the team.
“You have to be clever. If you’re too offensive then you’re tired so you need to make a balance. Today we played it well.”
Leeds’ next game is against Hull City in the Championship on Wednesday night.
