Goalkeeper arrives in England to complete move to Leeds

Following the departure of Kiko Casilla, Leeds have been searching Europe for a new goalkeeper, someone who could act as a reliable deputy to Illan Meslier and even push the Frenchman for first team football.

The quest looks to have finished now that Kristoffer Klaesson is in Leeds to complete a move to Elland Road.

The 20-year-old has caught the eye for Valerenga as well as Norway’s Under 21s and has been identified as Casilla’s replacement despite his lack of experience when compared to the Spaniard.

According to MOT Leeds News, the keeper has arrived in England following two days of travel. Lending further credence to this theory is the fact he was left out of the Valerenga squad ahead of their clash with Lyn 1896.

It’s said that the deal will cost the Mighty Whites around £2 million. With a fee already agreed as well as personal terms with the player, the only box left to tick is the medical which should come soon enough.

Klaesson could very well be a Leeds player within the next few days.
