Leeds United star Jayden Bogle believes the Whites have a good base to build from at the start of the season but conceded they would have wanted a few more points on the board.
The Yorkshire giants are sitting fourth in the Championship standings on eight points after four games and have yet to taste defeat in the league.
Leeds are now preparing to take on fellow promotion contenders Burnley at Elland Road in a big Championship game on Saturday.
They remain one of the top contenders for automatic promotion this term despite losing the playoff final against Southampton at the end of last season.
Bogle, who joined the club in the summer, believes Leeds have made a solid start to the season despite a few hiccups in the beginning.
The Leeds United star feels the team have a good base to go and pick up more points in the coming games
The Leeds defender admitted that his side’s performances deserved a few more points but believes the team have a good base to build from in the coming weeks.
Bogle feels in the next few games Leeds have a great chance to score some big points and continue to build on their solid start to the new campaign.
“Yeah, it has been good”, the defender said on LUTV.
“I think now, in the next game, it’s a big opportunity to pick up some more points.
“We had some good performances, probably not as many points as we would have wanted but it’s a good base position to build from.
“Now is a good time to go and pick up some more points.”
Bogle is almost certain to start at right back in the team when Leeds welcome Burnley at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Whites have games against Cardiff City, Coventry, Norwich City and Sunderland ahead of next month’s international break.
