Leeds United scored 95 goals on their way to winning promotion to the Premier League. Many outside the club would think their best player is Joel Piroe.

The striker netted 19 league goals and won the golden boot. But for Leeds fans, Jayden Bogle has a huge shout for being one of their best stars. The defender was so good last season, and was ever present. Bogle was the driving force of the attack down the right flank.

He wowed the crowd in Leeds’ first friendly against Manchester United, showing that he will be important once again this season. With the intensity of the Premier League, the club would need to find a suitable backup for him.

Leeds have been linked with Leicester City’s James Justin in recent weeks. The Whites are not the only club, as Everton are monitoring the situation. Don Goodman believes Justin would be a good signing for Daniel Farke’s side.

“I can absolutely see why Leeds United would want to sign James Justin,” he said to FLW.

“I remember him bursting on the scene with Luton, getting his move and doing great things with Leicester City, getting in the England squad and picking up a terrible injury which took a long time to get over.”

“The area of right back will be very competitive at Leeds United. They already have a very good one in Jayden Bogle.”

Goodman adds that the defender’s versatility could be a key factor if he joins Leeds.

“But James Justin can also play left-back and with Leeds having lost Junior Firpo, maybe he will provide cover there.

“I can completely understand that Marti Cifuentes and Leicester would be disappointed to lose him, but this is a player who needs to be playing in the Premier League.”

Leeds need replacement to give green light for Isaac Schmidt

Werder Bremen have agreed a deal with Leeds to take Isaac Schmidt on loan this summer. However, the deal has not been finalized. Reports claim that Daniel Farke wants to bring in a replacement before he gives a green light for the deal. So the transfer might ultimately depend on James Justin moving this summer.

Justin is a solid Premier League fullback

Despite not reaching the heights from earlier in his career, the Leicester man is a solid option at fullback. His versatility gives his teams a lot of options. Justin is reliable going forward and on the overlap, and is a very good defender.

If Leeds get him, they can provide cover for both the left back and right back positions this season.
