Marcelo Bielsa was speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s clash with Watford, where Leeds will look to avoid setting a new record for most games without a victory to start a new season.
Bielsa spoke about the impact Junior Firpo has had since joining Leeds from Barcelona this summer. “With regards to his evolution in the team, he hasn’t produced a 7/10 performance” Bielsa admitted. “But also, he hasn’t played below a 6/10.”
“He has had a regular performance and he has grown, but below what he’s capable of doing.” Bielsa is acknowledging that Firpo has suffered a somewhat rocky to start to life at Leeds United, but remains optimistic that he will improve and become a key part of the squad.
