‘He is useless’ – Simon Jordan launches brutal attack on Leeds United target Jorgen Strand Larsen

Leeds United remain busy in the January transfer market with days left before the deadline, as they look to add further reinforcements to their squad.

Operating under tight financial limits, the Whites have already strengthened their attacking options by bringing in Facundo Buonanotte on loan from Brighton after he turned down the same move last summer.

Leeds are also exploring striker options and are believed to be ramping up discussions for Wolves forward Jorgen Strand Larsen, with his potential move to Crystal Palace now likely off following major developments on Thursday.

However, former Crystal Palace owner Simon Jordan does not understand the hype around the Wolves striker and has given his own brutal verdict on his quality.

Simon Jordan brands Jorgen Strand Larsen ‘useless’

Strand Larsen is expected to leave Wolves before the end of the window, but a move to Crystal Palace pretty much hangs in the balance despite the agreement between the two clubs.

However, it seems former Palace owner Jordan would be more than happy if Palace do not sign the Wolves forward in the next couple of days.

Speaking on Thursday, he insisted Strand Larsen is not good enough despite Palace thinking that he may be good enough for them to strike a deal worth £50m.

Jordan said on talkSPORT: “I think he is useless.

“But that’s just my personal opinion; if Palace don’t think he is, I will be happy to be proven wrong.

“I am happy for him to go and score lots of goals for Palace and make me look like a fool.”

Jordan is being hasty about the Wolves striker

The Wolves striker has scored just once in the Premier League, and has netted just five more goals in cup competitions for the Molineux outfit.

It is clear that, given his form this season, he may not be worth even the £40m asking price Wolves want, forget the £50m Palace appeared to be ready to pay.

However, clubs seem interested in investing in the potential he showed last season, when he scored 14 times in the Premier League for Wolves.

Appearances 35
Goals 14
Assists 4

It is not hard to argue that Strand Larsen has struggled this season due to an overall poor Wolves team, who seem destined to go down at the end of the season.

Leeds appear to be the frontrunners to sign him now that Palace are unlikely to sign the forward in the ongoing winter transfer window.

The Whites are happy to pay the £40m asking price for a striker who showed real potential last season in the Premier League.
