This past week saw Leeds United move two players out of the club. After being busy with new signings, the club seem to be focused on some exits.
The Whites finally put an end to the Mateo Joseph saga. Leeds were able to sort out a loan deal to Mallorca. Real Betis and Girona were interested, but missed out in the end.
The Spaniard is just one of a whole host of names who could leave before the transfer deadline at the end of the month. Leeds have a tough task, as the likes of Patrick Bamford, Sam Greenwood and Illian Meslier are still with the team.

Another player who left the club was Joe Gelhardt. The forward joined Hull City on a season-long loan. He made his first appearance off the bench over the weekend. Tigers boss Sergej Jakirovic revealed that Gelhardt really wanted a return to the club:
“He was my vision,” the Bosnian told Hull Live. “I asked so many times about him because in our situation with the embargo and everything else, he wanted to come to us. We need such a player, and there’s no adaptation time. The group likes him and he knows our environment as well, so this is a very, very good choice for us.”
What Gelhardt said about loan move
Gelhardt’s comments in his first interview back were really telling about his time at Leeds over the last two years. The forward said the move has made him the ”happiest he has been” in the past few months:
“I loved my time here last year – everyone was so welcoming and friendly. It’s a great club to be at, and the lads have spoken very highly of the new manager.
“The people here, the city, the fans – everything about last season was just the perfect match. I was probably the happiest I’ve been in my football career during the last few months I spent here last year.
Leeds United continue their search to add a new attacker
Leeds have now lost Mateo Joseph and Joe Gelhardt. The two were part of the depth behind Joel Piroe last season, even though Gelhardt left on loan in the middle of the campaign.
As it stands, the only senior options at center forward are Joel Piroe and Lukas Nmecha. Leeds need to act fast and add at least one more option who is guaranteed to score goals in the Premier League.
