‘He will remain as long as possible’ – Leeds United make massive Daniel Farke decision

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has battled doubters at the start of the season due to his previous failures in the Premier League. However, a solid start to the season suggests that he may have learned from his past and is more prepared at Elland Road.

The Whites have seven points from their opening five league games, and have looked solid and difficult to beat in the early parts of the campaign. The 3-1 win at Wolves also ended their way for an open-play goal in the Premier League.

There were question marks around Farke before the start of the season, and some felt Leeds should have replaced him with someone more proven once they earned promotion to the Premier League at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.

However, the 49ers backed the German, and the manager has also shown loyalty towards the club by ignoring an approach from Benfica in recent days.

Leeds United’s stance on Daniel Farke revealed

Journalist Pete O’Rourke has taken stock of Farke’s situation at Leeds, and it seems his job at Elland Road is more than just safe at the moment.

He revealed that the German head coach has major backing inside the Leeds board, and he is keen to remain at Elland Road as long as the club want him to.

O’Rourke also insisted that even if Leeds want to move the German on, it would be tricky as he has huge support in the Leeds fanbase after winning promotion last season.

He also added that Leeds have already demonstrated this season that Farke has built a side that can compete well in the Premier League.

“Farke still has the backing of the Leeds board, and for me, I think he’ll remain at Leeds for as long as they want him”, O’Rourke said on Football Insider’s Inside Track Podcast.

“It’ll be the other way around, if anything will start changing his situation, if the club decide to replace Daniel Farke.

“But Farke is a big fans favourite for what he’s done there and winning promotion back to the Premier League and everything else.

“I think they have shown signs of promise that they can compete in the Premier League.”

Farke has already forced a major football pundit to eat humble pie this season.
