Leeds were lucky enough to have 2 players representing England during the previous international break, as Patrick Bamford joined England player of the year Kalvin Phillips.
But Phillips has since revealed how Bamford acted on England duty. “He was quite nervous.” Phillip admitted. “The first day we were training, he got up extra early to have a little coffee and chill out.” I think we can all relate to Bamford here, as I’m sure most of us would be equally as nervous to be representing England.
“He woke me up.” Phillips continued. “At Leeds, he’s not the best trainer; I was nervous. But honestly, he was unbelievable.” I’m not sure how Bamford will feel about Phillips sharing this news with the public, but it’s still a nice reminder that Premier League footballers are human too.
