Leeds United have made a solid start to life back in the Premier League, and some of the new signings have come to the fore at the start of the campaign. However, a couple of names have really stood out since joining the club in the summer transfer window.
The Whites signed ten new players during the summer window for a combined fee of more than £100m, and their recruitment strategy appeared to have hit the mark, even though the jury is out on a couple of players.
Gabriel Gudmundsson and Anton Stach have settled well at Elland Road, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Noah Okafor have made a definitey impact on the team’s attacking power.
However, one player has really stood out in the early season exchanges, and his performances have proved Leeds’ decision to sign him in the summer transfer window.
Leeds United star Sean Longstaff praised for being an ‘Elland Road player’

Sean Longstaff has made a real difference in the middle of the park, and his combative performances have made Leeds a difficult side to play against.
Former Premier League winner Joe Hart stressed that the former Newcastle star and Dominic Calvert-Lewin appear to have it in them to be real stars at Leeds.
He insisted that Longstaff looks like an Elland Road player who has already made a huge impact on the team with his presence and has been an important cog in the wheel despite not being flashy.
“[Longstaff] feels like a real Elland Road player. I think [Dominic] Calvert-Lewin as well — the kind of players who can get the fans up, get them going, really strong”, Hart said on TNT Sports.
“He has had some big moments already in a Leeds shirt. Frustrating times at his boyhood club Newcastle, but he’s got a real opportunity in the Premier League to establish himself.
“Unflashy; I know it’s not a label you want, but important is a label he’d want. And he’ll certainly be an important player in this team.”
Longstaff has turned out to be a bargain
Leeds fans were not exactly enamoured when the club signed Longstaff in the summer, as they were looking forward to watching a few more marquee names.
However, Longstaff has emerged as one of the best signings of the summer window, and the club are reaping the rewards of being smart with their recruitment.
At £12m, he has been a complete bargain given the level of quality and Premier League experience he has brought in the Leeds team this season.
