Leeds United have had one of the toughest schedules to start the season, but surprisingly, Daniel Farke’s side have done a decent job. The Whites have one more game before the next international break which starts on Monday.

Leeds have faced Everton, Arsenal, Bournemouth, Wolves and Fulham and have walked away with eight points from these games. Some clubs in the league have yet to register a point this season. The Whites have put themselves in a very important position at this part of the season.

Farke’s side will be tested once again when they come up against Spurs this weekend. Fans will be a bit concerned, as the last top six club the team faced ended in a 5-0 defeat at the Emirates.

Leeds were hit with bad news early in the week when it was confirmed that Dan James picked up an ankle injury. The winger is yet to have a run of games this season, picking up knocks since the early weeks. Daniel Farke confirmed that he may miss a long period:

“Mixed news, I have to confirm that Dan James is out for a few weeks, he has rolled his ankle in training, doctors say 4 to 6 weeks, so after the November international break. That’s not great.”

Farke also added that Harry Gray is a huge doubt for the Spurs game after he picked up a problem. The striker missed out on the squad for the game against Bournemouth over the weekend. According to Daniel Farke, Gray is dealing with a hip problem.

“A few question marks behind Harry Gray because he reported problems with his hip flexor, not sure if he will make it.”

Leeds United injury worries piling up

Leeds will be glad the next international break begins soon; the injury problems have been piling up at Elland Road. A week of rest will help some of these players recover in time for that long stretch of games till the end of the year.

Farke’s men sit in a great position in 11th place in the Premier League, and will be hoping a result at home could push them further away from danger.
