Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier returned to the squad a few weeks ago after being left out for weeks. Many expected the French stopper to be sold during the summer window.
But unfortunately, no club made good enough offers to pry him away from Elland Road. When new keeper Lucas Perri got an injury, Meslier was named in the matchday squad for a couple of games.
Perri will return in the coming week, and the 25-year old Frenchman could once again find himself outside the first team plans once again.

Inter Milan find new transfer target

TEAMtalk have recently reported that Leeds will try and offload Illan Meslier in the January transfer window. Inter Milan were one of the clubs said to have concrete interest in the Frenchman, alongside Lorient and Valencia. Leeds would reportedly want a fee for Meslier, despite his contract expiring next summer.
But the latest transfer news suggest that the Italian club have identified another target. Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenburg has revealed that the Champions League club are eyeing Freiburg keeper Noah Atubolu to become their next number one.

Inter have been looking to find a replacement for Yann Sommer, with Illan Meslier on their reported shortlist.
Leeds United star has already decided his future
A report from last month revealed that Illan Meslier is in no rush to decide his future. The French keeper holds all the cards in this situation; his contract expires next summer and he will be free to discuss contracts with clubs in January. Leeds could try to sell him in January, but it would have to be a very cut-price fee or they risk losing him for free months later.
As for this season, it is unlikely that the 25-year old plays a part in the campaign with Karl Darlow firmly established as the backup keeper behind Lucas Perri.
