The summer transfer window began last week, and Leeds United are yet to complete a signing so far. It looks like the club plans to sort out their current squad before making any other moves.
Last week saw reports of the club planning for some possible exits. Illan Meslier is being offered to other clubs, as Leeds plan for his exit. The Whites have also made a decision to make the trio of Joe Gelhardt, Darko Gyabi and Sam Greenwood available for sale this summer.
Leeds are still holding talks with Sam Byram and Junior Firpo. The duo are out of contract later this month, with the club hoping to agree to extensions soon. This week, Junior Firpo has once again been linked with a return to Spain as Real Betis revive their interest.

Last week, it was reported that Leeds had opened talks with Daniel James over a new contract. The winger has a year remaining on his current deal, and now looks like a perfect opportunity to tie him down. James has experience in the Premier League and will be a very useful option next season.
However, plans over a new deal looks to have been stalled. According to Alan Nixon, Leeds and Daniel James are struggling to reach an agreement. The Whites have offered James a two-year deal, but the winger wants more years on the contract. The 27-year old feels like his performances over the last few seasons have earned him a right to more than a two-year extension.
James has earned a long-term deal
Just last season, Dan James was one of the club’s best performers. Since he returned to Elland Road, he has been one of the more consistent players at the club. Unlike others, he has stuck with Leeds since they needed him.
His loyalty, and performances over the years need to be rewarded.
