Leeds United have played four games in all competitions this season. And the problem Daniel Farke pointed out from pre-season is still around.
The Leeds boss asked for reinforcements since training camp in Germany. All the club has provided him with is Lukas Nmecha, Noah Okafor and Dominic Calvert-Lewin. Two free agent signings and one winger who has a below average goalscoring record. Leeds lack a natural player in front of goal and it has showed so far.
In these four games, Daniel Farke’s side have managed to score just two goals, with one from the penalty spot. And out of all the new attacking signings, Lukas Nmecha is the only one to have scored a goal so far.

That is why Daniel Farke said the club would be active ahead of deadline day. Leeds have shown they can play, and create chances, yet the team still cannot put the ball in the back of the net. At Premier League level, if you fail to convert your chances you will be punished. Farke saw this first hand in the 5-0 loss to Arsenal.
Now that the window has closed, Leeds’ only hope of adding any players is by signing a free agent. Aleksandar Mitrovic was linked with a return to England, and even reached out to the Whites over a move. Now, Santi Aouna has reported that the Serbian has terminated his contract and is set to join Qatari side Al-Rayyan.

Mitrovic is set to earn £7.4million, earning around £143,000 a week. He will join former Leeds star Rodrigo Moreno at the club.
Josh Brownhill is still on the table
Speaking of free agents, this week, Josh Brownhill’s camp have revealed that Leeds are on of the clubs in the race for his signature. The former Burnley star is set to make a decision on his future later this week.
FFS. Josh Brownhill is not a forward nor a striker. Getting goals in the Championship is far different than scoring in the PL. He isn’t the answer
Leeds are not in the race. That is pure speculation. MD Robbie Evans has categorically stated that we don’t need anymore ‘free’ agents’.
