Leeds United boss Daniel Farke was in a good mood during Thursday’s press conference. The team is looking to bounce back after a shock defeat to Sheffield Wednesday in the EFL Cup on Tuesday night.
Leeds’ next game is at Elland Road as they host Newcastle. Farke was adamant that his team would not change how they play before the Arsenal game. They lost 5-0, and then lost to the Owls on Tuesday night. But ahead of this weekend’s game, the team are in luck, as the Magpies could be without a handful of key starters. Daniel Farke has said ahead of the game that he could make a few changes to his team due to the recent injury problems.

When it comes to transfers, Farke said the club is working hard to find deals before the window closes. The final days before the deadline on Monday could be very interesting at Elland Road. The Leeds boss suggested that one or two attackers could arrive before Monday.
”We have allowed Largie and Isaac to travel for talks with other clubs. Not confirmed yet but we expect this will happen. Minimum focus is to strengthen offence, how realistic, it makes no sense to give you a percentage but we’re looking forward to strengthen offence a bit more. If it’s one or two more we will see, whatever is possible. We want the best possible squad and everyone is working hard.”
According to Leeds Live, the club are confident of completing these deals before the deadline. The report adds that one player who could be an option is Brighton’s Facundo Buonanotte. The Argentine is yet to play for the Seagulls this season as they figure out his future. Other sources have indicated that Leeds are leading the pack for his signature.
Buonanotte could be the perfect addition
There is no doubt that the Leeds midfield needs a creative spark. That is something the current group of players cannot offer – someone to carry the ball, dribble and create chances with that one pass. Buonanotte was a standout in Leicester City’s team from last season, with five goals and two assists. Adding him to this current squad could give Daniel Farke an edge on the pitch.
