Huge update for Leeds United as Millwall are open to losing player – £1.2M star has made a decision

Leeds United can end this week with multiple signings after the events of the past few hours. Sunday saw the announcement of the first official arrival this summer.

The Whites completed the signing of Lukas Nmecha on an initial two-year deal. The German forward will officially join the club in July, when his contract with Wolfsburg ends. Nmecha comes with experience at the top level, having spent the last four seasons in the Bundesliga. Daniel Farke adds a huge piece to his attack.

Monday will be an even better day for Leeds fan as multiple reports suggest a second transfer could be made soon. Italian media is reporting that a deal for Udinese’s Jaka Bijol could be completed in the next 24 hours. Bijol’s representatives are set to fly to England, with a medical pending in the next few days.

A move for Millwall defender Japhet Tanganga has been rumoured over the past week. The former Spurs defender is attracting a lot of interest over the last month. He reportedly has a £1.2million release clause in his contract.

According to Football Insider, Millwall are now resigned to losing the defender, and will not make any efforts to stand in a way of a possible deal. However, the destination lies in the hands of Tanganga. And an exclusive report from Alan Nixon has indicated that the 26-year old is keen on a move away from England. There is said to be interest from Germany and France.

Huge blow for Leeds

The Whites have now seemingly missed out on the chance to add some more experience to the backline. Tanganga’s versatility could have provided a huge boost to the depth at the club. His ability to fit in multiple roles could have given some flexibility to Daniel Farke.

On top of that, with Sam Byram’s future undecided, he could be the perfect replacement if a deal is not agreed.
